Five Loaves and Two Fish

I was pretty excited. I always love interviews with Presidente, especially now since I´d never had one with Presidente GOATES. BUT I had to wait, my comp went first haha. So HERMANA Goates calls me into another room--apparentely she wants to do little interviews, too!  Okie dokes. (: That was great, I love chatting with her. She truly has SO much love and excitement for this work and for this mission. (: THEN...I hear a little knock, I glance back through the window, and I see a big, goofy smile on the face of Presidente, waving me to go to my interview with him haha. I hop up, thank Hermana Goates, and head to the other room. He gives me a great, big handshake and tells me to sit down. Plop. In the chair. We get to talking about the ward I´m in, the baptism we were gonna have, my companion, and the little time I have left in the mission...

"Hermana Lybbert, when is it that you´ll be leaving??"

"Uhh...Well...In September."

"OH! Right! We´re just knocking y´all off one right after the other, huh?"
*Big chuckle*
"Ha, yup, it´s comin´ up real quick..."

"Well, Hermana Lybbert, do you have any questions for me?"
**Thinking time**
"Nah, I don´t think so..."

"..."

"Well..."

I´m not exactly sure what my question was, not gonna lie. I couldn´t form it very well in English. It was something about staying focused until the end of the mission. I don´t think I´ll have a problem with being trunky, because I love Argentina, but...Just in case...

And honestly, I don´t really remember all what Presidente told me. I do remember a couple little things that I´m putting into practice--mostly just taking one day at a time. Not making a very detailed plan for when I get home, so that I don´t get distracted with that. Focusing on the here and now, and my purpose. But what I remember more than anything?

"Hermana Lybbert...Just know that...The time WILL come. I can see you have a very deep love for this people, work, and country. For your mission. But it will come. HOWEVER, for the here and now...Just get Him your all. Don´t kill yourself about your numbers if you know you´ve done your best. As humans and missionaries, we are as the apostles of Christ. We only have five loaves and two fish. But five loaves and two fish is all the Lord will ask of us. And, as we trust in the Lord and hand Him all that we have, that will suffice. He will feed thousands. He can make SO much more of our five loaves and two fish than we could ever make with all the faith in the world. May we be willing to give up all that we have, so that He can work the miracles."

I loved it. We had our interviews about 2 weeks ago, but I didn´t have the sufficient time to write it all out. I´ve gone back to the Gospels in the Bible, and I´ve read that short miracle time and time again. It is absolutely incredible.

Alrighty, well other than that...I hit my ONE YEAR mark in Argentina this last week! The first of August (: It´s been one, crazy year, full of miracles and experiences. (:

Alrighty, PHOTOS!:
-We had ZHONDA again! So hot (it was GREAT), and SO much wind! And dirt. :/
-My comp during studies, tired as heck after 18 months in the mission haha.
-We went to Consejo this last week, too. We had to sleep in a FREEZING cold pench, no blankets (except for the thin little things we´ve got there), and one, broken heater that turns on and off every 5 minutes. And every time it turns on, it makes an awful noise, which wakes the whole neighborhood up. FACT: I slept a whole hour and a half that night.
-FLAN! With one of my favorite ladies. (: Alicia! She´s been a member for about a year now, and she makes DELICIOUS food! :D
-Our district, and my "dying" comp (AKA, she´s finishing up the mission).
-The ever famous tarta de acelga. I´m not totally sure why the people like acelga so much, but...Whatever haha. It´s healthy, so I ate it. :P Annnd ignore the fact that my hair looks red/orange. It´s not redish/orange, I swear.
