Hellloooo Pringles!!

Hahaha I seriously am IN LOVE with this area here. Of course, the area isn´t just called Pringles, like we say in English. It´s pronounced like in Spanish: Preen-glehs (: And dang is the San Luís province BOMB. The people are a little bit more bold and cold, but it makes it easier to weed out those who aren´t interested. In other areas, especially San Juan, everyone would just give us fake addresses or tell us to come by again. Then we´d waste loads of time trying to find the uninterested people. Here, not so much. You have to push a little to see if they really want it.

BUT, other than that, I LOVE it here. We´ve got a sick and solid baptism coming along for the 26th of April. She´s got a super cute kid, and she´s STOKED. We´ll actually be having their wedding on the 25th, baptism on the 26th, and then her confirmation on the 27th at church haha. So she´s excited. (: LOVE Eliana!

MY COMP. You will see in my photos. Hermana Hales and I get along JUST fine hahaha. Maybe it´s because she´s from Southern Cali haha. Seriously, though, she makes me miss California SO much. I´m 98% positive I´ll be living there when "I´m all grown up" (; ...IF I´ve got the money, that is haha. So yeah, Hales is bomb, and she basically has planned out my wedding for me haha. I laughed for like 2 hours straight. We headed out the door one morning, kind of chilly since we´re going into winter, and she suddenly gets stoked and asks, "Oooh! Okay Hermana. Tell me what your wedding will be like." ...As if I had already planned it or something...My reaction: "Uhhh...My wedding? I´ve no idea, hermana. I´ve never thought about planning the thing out." She was appauled. Soooo yup. While looking for the people we had planned for and talking with people in the streets, she planned out my wedding. EVERYTHING. Crazy. But hilarious haha.

Alright, here´s my bomb miracle story for the week!! YESTERDAY. So Sundays are usually pretty...Well...Slow, to say the least. We´ve got church, studies, and then meetings until like 6. So we head out at like 6:30, and all of our plans fall through. We´ve got about 45 minutes to find someone, enter a house, and get a lesson/miracle in before having to head back. PLUS, we were in Central. Hard stuff. So Hermana Hales flips to her contacts at the back of her agenda, and she has ONE address for centro. "Whelp, it´s for a reason, let´s go," we say, with a lack of faith. We go to this sketchy apartment building, find the building, up to the 3rd floor, and we knock...Andrea walks out and says something like she´s only got a ratito (a little bit of time). So I remember the techniques learned in my Cali mission and say, "No worries! We just wanna come in, say a prayer for you all, and get out. It´ll be 7 minutes." (; DING. Door? OPENED. So we sit down, chat, and this Andrea gets to talking (there went the 7 minutes, but it wasn´t our fault haha) about her family and her beliefs. She says she´s got a husband a little boy, 8 years old (WHOOTS!). I think in my head, "Dang. Where are they then? I wanna teach a family!"...Did you know that when you´ve got good, righteous desires, the Lord grants those things? BOOM. The husband wakes up from his siesta and walks out. "Hey there! You´re mormons right?" Win. This guy, Jorge, is bomb. So he sits down and starts chatting about he went to church for a while. Thennnn the kid walks in, Facundo. My comp says, taking advantage of the situation, "Hey! You wanna say a prayer with us?" Facundo, in all his 8-year old shyness, "Uhhh, sure! But...I dno what to do or how..." Me, "Oh no worries. We´ll teach ya, and then we´ll SHOW ya!" DEAL. So we have a prayer, we start teaching a little, and we start getting some info about this adorable little family. Whelp, turns out, Jorge (the dad) is a MEMBER. Oh my heck. I died. So we had a sick lesson, super strong spirit, set up a day to come back and teach them, and then we ask Jorge to give a prayer before we leave...You have to know...The first time in front of people, one usually declines...Nope. Jorge said a prayer, and he REALLY wants this for his wife and kid. It´s super cool. And I am SO stoked. YAY FOR FAMILIES! :D

Okay, really quick, because I´me running out of time. More pictures!
-Hna Cox and I from the Hermana Conference! So bomb. I love her haha.
-SUBWAY. First Subway in over a year. I died. SO GOOD.
-Hermana Guzman (one of the other hermanas who we live with) hit her 6-month mark! CELEBRATE! So that´s me and my comp in our PJ´s. (:
-Hermana Guzman (from Perú) and Hermana Magaña (El Salvador) (:
-Hermana Hales, Guzman, and me! (:
-Annnd these three photos are the entry of my apartment. It´s hard to explain, so I´m not going to. (: LOVES!!!

Last Week in Gutiérrez, Maipú! Despedidos.

Alright, here´s just a buttload of photos for y´all (: Haha. This was from my last week in Gutiérrez, and it was a blast! The first big chunk was our last pday (: We had basically finished packing and such, so us hermanas decided we wanted to go to a park with toys! Boy oh boy...It was a blast. (:

Thennn you get to a photo of a family with a little baby girl and the photo with the little girl...Seriously, I love this family SO much. They were basically my family up there. Plus, they´ve got the greatest love story of basically fighting against all odds for their love. It´s a long story, but just know that it´s a good one. (; The Rossi-Berti-Walker family. (: Haha. Annnd that little girl and I have the same birthday. So dope.

The little old lady is Encarnación, and the lesser-old guy is Carlos. Carlos takes care of Encarnación, and he was an investigator whom we were teaching. Encarnación is a member, whom I love. (:

Photos of a bunch of missionaries? Our district haha.

Photo with the 3 women are Carla Palumbo with her gorgeous daughters, Carla and Brenda. The others from their family weren´t there. ):

The gal in the photo with the chalkboard is Rocio. (: We had a bomb English class my last day, annnd I taught how to say things like "I am..." "You are..." "He Is..." etc. Annnd then I taught them a bunch of adjectives. The funniest one? "HE IS BALD." (: I died haha.

The gorgeous woman with her little girl and I is Daiana Vilche-Sinchicay. Seriously. I love her so much. She´s the Argentine version of my sister, Dene´ haha. I loved it. (:

The next photo is the Loyola family! The younger 2 daughters and the grandma are members, and the mother on the other side was who we were teaching. SUCH a great family. (:

The next fam fam is only a part of the Mandiola family. Such solid people, oh my heck. The husband (not in the photo) will be a general authority or mission president someday. He´s a killer scripture man, I loved it.

The Videla family! I really loved them. (: Especially Magalí, the little girl. She was my favorite, and I think I may be stealing her name for a future daughter of mine hahaha.

Wow...

Sheesh, sorry for so many emails. Today has been kind of nuts. So I just sent y´all a ton of photos, without explaining even ONE of them. My bad haha. So here it goes...

First Batch:
-Last P-day= VOLLEYBALL! I loved it. (:
-Our district plus zone leaders.
-We had a Sisters Conference where we did all sorts of stuff like yoga, games, a conference of great talks, and good food. (: So this first part is the yoga. We all kind of died laughing. (;
-Everyone in yoga.
-My comp, Hna. Cheta and I
-Photo shot through the legs, "Che! Hermana Cheta y Chorolqui! Holaaa!" (;
-A bomb conference. (:
-Okayyy sorry about the feet pictures. BUT I have decided that...If I have learned NOTHING else from the mission (impossible), I have at least learned the importance of good shoes that don´t kill. I am 100% positive that my feet will never be the same again. Loads of scars. ): In some senses, I´m jealous of the shoes elders get to wear haha.
-Our zone!
-The hermanas in our zone (: Me, Hna. Cheta, Hna. Martinez, and Hna. Reyes
-GENERAL CONFERENCE! Hna. Cheta was kind enough to sit through 3 sessions of General Conference in English with me. (: She didn´t have to, but she really enjoyed I think. There´s just something incredible about being able to listen to the actual voice of the prophet or his apostles. I´ve taken that for granted. Most of the members here don´t recognize the voice of these incredible people, but I´ve been blessed with the opportunity to know English. So I can hear the voice and recognize who it is. It´s a huge blessing.
-Listening intently. (: With food, of course. (;
-Hna. Cheta and I
-The elders...Who knows haha. They´re elders.

Second Batch: TRASNFER CALLS
-Hermana Martinez died when she heard the transfer calls hahaha. It busted me up. (: Hermana Martinez is staying here in Maipú!
-Hermana Reyes was crazy surprised but relieved, because she´s gonna be with the hermana that she was hoping for! BUT she´s headed down south to Alvear, washing an area.
-Me? Wow haha. It was probably the last thing I would´ve guessed. Our mission consists of 3 provincias: San Juan, Mendoza, and San Luis. I started in San Juan. Came to Mendoza. And now I´m off to the other provincia! San Luis, baby! :D I´ll be in the area of Pringles A (yup, that´s right. PRINGLES!) with the bomb Hermana Hales!! (Y´all don´t know her yet, but she´s the SUPER blonde girl in the background of the photo of the conference, where I´m down on the bottom left, and you see a ton of hermanas and blue tables haha).
-Annnd Hermana Cheta was expected bad news haha. Who knows why. But lucky for her, she´s staying here, and the BOMB Hermana Chamberlain is coming with! They´ve already been comps before, and they got along super well. (:

Getting. Work. Done.

WHEW! Okay, this week has been kind of crazy. We had P-day, then Consejo with Presidente all day Tuesday, a Sister´s Conference that went from Tuesday all through Wednesday, and then General Conference all weekend. Nutsy.

Anywho, if anyone didn´t know already, I can´t receive anymore packages. Stuff has gone down with the governor of Argentina, so now all foreigners can only receive packages up to $25 PER YEAR. Sooo it´s just not worth it. Do not send packages. They will get stuck in Buenos Aires and never get here. (: Loves!

Alright, other than that...I´m crazy tired. And hungry. And I´ve got a ton of laundry to do before I head out to San Luis (5 hour trip. Yayyy...) on Wednesday morning. SO! Nos vemos. Les quiero un montón. CHAU!

Second Batch of Photos! TRANSFER CALLS

Photos First!
